Ascended Heroes April Wave Brings Mega Ex Boxes and Booster Bundles

2026-04-10·PullRate·4 min read

The final Ascended Heroes product wave drops April 24, and it's the one collectors have been waiting three months for. Three Mega ex Boxes featuring Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex, and Mega Feraligatr ex arrive alongside the set's long-awaited Booster Bundles, giving fans the first real shot at cracking Ascended Heroes packs at scale since the expansion launched back in January.

What's Dropping on April 24

The Pokémon Company is releasing four products to close out the Ascended Heroes staggered rollout:

Mega Meganium ex, Mega Emboar ex, and Mega Feraligatr ex Boxes ($21.99 MSRP each) each include a foil promo card of the featured Mega, an oversize lenticular promo card with dynamic artwork, and four Ascended Heroes booster packs. These promos originate from the Japanese Start Deck 100 Battle Collection and weren't part of the set's initial product lineup.

The three starter Megas bring some heat to the table. Mega Emboar ex packs 380 HP and a Crimson Blast attack dealing 320 damage (with 60 recoil to itself). Mega Meganium ex swings with Giant Bouquet, scaling damage based on attached Grass Energy. And Mega Feraligatr ex targets weakened Pokémon with Mortal Crunch.

Ascended Heroes Booster Bundle contains six booster packs in one box. No promo card, no accessories. Just packs. This is a specialty set with no traditional booster box available, so the Booster Bundle is the most efficient sealed product for ripping.

What You'll Pay

Ascended Heroes has been a seller's market since day one. Here's where prices stand heading into the April 24 drop:

ProductContentsMSRPCurrent Street Price
Mega ex Box (each)4 packs + foil promo + lenticular card$21.99Not yet available
Booster Bundle6 packsTBD$70–$120 (preorder)
ETB (reference)9 packs + N's Zekrom promo + accessories$49.99$103–$139
PC ETB (reference)11 packs + 2x N's Zekrom promos$59.99$399+

Those Walmart and TCGplayer numbers on the Booster Bundle reflect preorder and third-party seller pricing. Expect prices to settle once retail stock hits shelves. Multiple community members expect bundles to land in the $70-$75 range on release day, but that's still well above what a standard 6-pack bundle would normally run.

For context, the ETB has already bounced around from a high of $149.99 down to $102.95 at Walmart and back up past $138 from third-party sellers. The Pokémon Center ETB with its exclusive N's Zekrom logo promo sits at $399+ on the secondary market. This set holds value.

Will the Booster Bundle Release Tank Singles?

This is the question on every collector's mind. Ascended Heroes contains 295 cards, making it the largest English Pokémon TCG expansion ever. The set's top chase cards, like the Mega Dragonite ex Special Illustration Rare (selling around $600) and Lille's Clefairy ex, have stayed strong through three months of staggered product releases. The Mega attack rare cards, featuring Japanese katakana text in a style that callbacks to the beloved XY-era M Pokémon-EX designs, continue to hold collector interest.

The bull case: this set has faced supply problems from day one. There are no booster boxes. The staggered release stretched product availability across nearly three months. Demand has been relentless, with Pokémon Center preorders selling out through queues and plenty of collectors still empty-handed.

The bear case: Booster Bundles are the most accessible Ascended Heroes product yet. Six packs per bundle with no limit on print runs means more cards hitting the market. Perfect Order, the next Mega Evolution expansion, already launched March 27 and is competing for wallet share.

The most likely outcome? A short dip of 10-15% on mid-tier singles, with top chase cards barely budging. The SIR Mega Dragonite ex and other high-end pulls have enough demand waiting on the sidelines to absorb new supply fast.

What Collectors Should Do

If you want sealed product, the Mega ex Boxes at $21.99 are the play. Four packs plus a foil promo and lenticular card for less than $22 is good value compared to what every other Ascended Heroes product has cost on the secondary market. Pick up all three starter Megas if you can find them at MSRP.

For the Booster Bundles, patience is your friend. Preorder prices are inflated. Wait for retail stock to hit Target, Walmart, and local game stores on April 24 and grab them at or near MSRP. Don't pay $120 on TCGplayer for something that should cost half that in two weeks.

If you're chasing specific singles, the week after April 24 could offer a brief buying window as new supply floods the market. Watch the Mega attack rares and SIRs closely.

Our Take

The Ascended Heroes staggered release has been a mess for consumers but a masterclass in keeping demand elevated. Three months of drip-fed product has kept this set in the conversation longer than any expansion in recent memory. The April 24 wave won't crash the market because supply still can't match the demand this set generates. At $21.99, the Mega ex Boxes are the best entry point the set has offered, and we'd grab multiples at retail without hesitation. Skip the preorder markup on Booster Bundles and buy them in person on release day.

What Collectors Are Saying

They'll definitely dip, but I think there's enough people on the sidelines to make that short lived. I personally will scoop a woods Pikachu immediately and I know I'm not the only one.

Ascended heroes barely gets stocked in stores and online, just like I figured. 5 percent of people will find these, I don't think they will do anything personally.

r/PokeInvesting

3 months between 'launch' and the Booster Bundles. The 1st month with only Tech Sticker Collections available. Considering some of the hype I feel it's going to be weird with demand.

This is gonna blow up like OP13… no matter how much gets into the market resellers and rippers will just gobble it up.

r/PokeInvesting

Sealed premium + bundles not out yet. They will likely drop to $70-$75 on release. I ordered 4, so I'll probably sell one on release day to cover the other 3 and let them sit.

Really, really hope these boxes don't make the Z-A starters exclusive to them, that's just gonna make getting them overall much more of a problem.
